Founded in January 2015 by CEO Derek Belch and Stanford professor Jeremy Bailenson, Strivr originally launched its product in sports, using VR to train NFL and college quarterbacks. Just 18 months into its startup journey, Strivr received an inbound inquiry from Walmart, which was quickly parlayed into a pilot agreement to use VR for employee training. Since then, over 1.5 million training sessions have been conducted on Strivr’s platform.
