Why Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Modernization is Critical Now, Not Later

Is enterprise content management (ECM) modernization really necessary right now? Some would argue that existing ECM systems continue to get the job done and a large migration effort is too risky and expensive. So why is modernization so critical, and more importantly, why now? The reason is that organizations are being threatened from traditional and non-traditional competition and the need for speed and agility is simply unavailable with legacy ECM.
